1. Select RUN from the START menu, type REGEDIT, and click the OK button.

4. Select the directory in which you would like the backup stored from the Save in the list presented to you.
5. In the box labeled “File name,” type in the name you want to give to your backup file. Select a name that is simple and easy to keep in mind, such as “It’s either “Copy” or “Backup.
6. When you get to the Export Range box, choose the “Selected branch” option.
7. Next, select the Save option. The file will be saved with a.reg extension when it is finished being created.
Modifying Entries in the Registry
