Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 – Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic: In order to improve the software environment for Android smartwatches, Samsung and Google joined forces. The new Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, which run the newly created Wear OS, are the end result. The Galaxy Watch Active 2’s spiritual successor is the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. (This time, it just has a nicer name.) It’s the sportier one, has better color options, and a more compact overall form factor. The Galaxy Watch 3’s direct replacement is the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. It simply offers more and is bigger and more elegant.
The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic has the physical rotating bezel that we adore, whereas the standard Galaxy Watch 4 has a touch-enabled bezel that resembles the Active 2.
Both devices offer longer battery lives, larger, brighter displays than they did previously, and health features that are intended to give you a more comprehensive understanding of your current health conditions. Again, these are the first two gadgets to feature Wear OS 3.
There are several versions available for selection. There are two different sizes of the Galaxy Watch 4: 40mm and 44mm. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic comes in 42mm and 46mm sizes, in contrast. In both instances, there is a $30 price difference between the two size versions. Additionally, you can choose between Bluetooth-only and LTE versions, with an additional $30 fee for LTE.
Are the Galaxy Watch 4 or Galaxy Watch 4 Classic worth buying?
Absolutely, yes. The Galaxy Watch 4 or the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic are the best Wear OS smartwatches you can purchase. Users must make a decision, though, as there are this time around two different smartwatches.
The Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic are very similar to one another. The physical rotating bezel found on the Classic is replaced by a capacitive touch-based virtual rotating panel in the Galaxy Watch 4, which is smaller, thinner, and lighter. But regardless, all displays will still be the same size. Additionally, you’ll receive the same features, comparable internal hardware, and identical software functionality. These smartwatches are some of the most feature-rich ones available.
The Galaxy Watch 4 series also includes an optical heart rate sensor (PPG), electrocardiogram (ECG), and bioelectrical impedance (BIA) sensor, expanding the range of fitness tracking and health monitoring options. Unfortunate limitations include the requirement for a Samsung phone to use some of these features (more on this later), but we anticipate better support in the future.
Both the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic cost less than their forerunners did at first price of $249 and goes up to $329. By no means are these the most expensive smartwatches available, but it’s great to see that they are priced to be competitive in a market that is becoming more crowded.
They will almost certainly go on sale after the release of the Galaxy Watch 5. It might be worth waiting to see what the new device has to offer in comparison to the current model if you aren’t in a rush to buy.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 vs. Galaxy Watch 4 Classic Features
Price and availability: On August 27, both the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic will be available. You can receive a $50 Samsung store credit if you pre-order yours between August 11 and August 26.
The entry-level 40mm Bluetooth Galaxy Watch 4 costs $249.99, while the 40mm LTE model costs $299.99. For Bluetooth, the 44mm model costs $279.99, and for LTE, it costs $329.99.
Price points for the 42mm Bluetooth Galaxy Watch 4 Classic start at $349.99 and $399.99, respectively. The 46mm version costs $429.99 for LTE and $379.99 for Bluetooth.
Design: The redesigned frames of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic produce a seamless transition from the smartwatch chassis to the straps. Instead of one protruding round crown and a flat side button, the uniform crown buttons have an oblong shape.
The Galaxy Watch 4 also pays homage to previous Galaxy Watch iterations. A useful navigational aid and top-notch fidget spinner, the rotating bezel is a feature exclusive to the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The bezel, which debuted on the first Samsung Galaxy Watch, has evolved into the gadget’s most recognizable design feature. In comparison to many other widely used wearables on the market, this model of the smartwatch makes a stronger fashion statement.
A stainless steel case and leather straps are among the fancier materials used in the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. However, the Galaxy Watch 4 Series has the following new features. Most significantly, Tizen has been incorporated into a single Google Wear OS, now known as Wear OS 3. Priority is still given to Samsung’s own apps like Samsung Pay and Samsung Health, but the smartwatch also has a ton of Google’s apps.

Automatic setting transfer from a Galaxy smartphone to a Galaxy smartwatch is also available. Regarding the Galaxy Watch 4’s health and fitness features, Samsung has added a new health sensor that combines bioelectric impedance analysis, electrocardiogram readings, and heart rate monitoring (PPG) (BIA).
